Rebuilt the site as nine pages with clean addresses (no more .html URLs)
A website rebuild for DC Hammer & Nail
DC Hammer & Nail remodels kitchens and bathrooms across Washington, DC and the metro area. Their work has 26 years of craftsmanship behind it. Their website didn't show any of that — it was a template that stamped the same title, the same content, and the same description across 16 pages. We rebuilt it from scratch: nine pages, each written for what it actually is. Site health went from 80% to 95%.

Where they started

The old site had seven pages and one template problem: the same title tag, page content, and meta description repeated across 16 pages, so search engines couldn’t tell the pages apart. A Semrush audit scored it 80% for site health, with 50 errors and zero healthy pages out of 19 crawled. Three pages were broken outright. The hosting was unreliable enough that pages timed out while loading. And the two services the company is known for — kitchen remodeling and bathroom remodeling — had no pages of their own, just photo galleries.
What we did
Gave kitchen remodeling and bathroom remodeling their own pages — the services customers actually search for
Merged the two separate galleries into one "Our work" page
Wrote a unique title, description, and page copy for every page — nothing stamped, nothing duplicated
Redirected every old .html address to its new page, so existing links and bookmarks still work
Rebuilt the contact page around one job: getting an estimate request
